Quando la sorella di Caleb, rampollo della potente e ricca dinastia dei Devereaux viene rapita, lui ha una sola soluzione: chiedere l'aiuto dell'unica donna in grado di risolvere questo tipo di situazione. La cosa non gli piace affatto, ma non ha altra scelta. Ramie è una bellissima sensitiva, che riesce a mettersi in contatto con le vittime e a localizzarle "sentendo" il loro dolore, ma questo le costa sempre molta fatica e un grande dispendio di energie fisiche ma soprattutto psicologiche. Aiutare l'attraente, impaziente e invincibile Caleb a trovare sua sorella la sta portando sull'orlo della distruzione. I pensieri ad alto tasso erotico dell'uomo l'attraggono come un magnete. Per questo Ramie decide che è meglio andare il più lontano possibile da lui. Per Caleb questo è un duro colpo, ma quando pensa di averla persa per sempre, Ramie riappare improvvisamente. Lei è in pericolo e ha bisogno del suo aiuto. Ora Caleb è finalmente disposto a rischiare tutto ciò che ha, anche il suo cuore, pur di salvarla.

Ramie e Caleb si conoscono quando Caleb le chiede aiuto per ritrovare la sorella, e da quel momento restano l'uno collegato all'altra, anche se per circa un anno si perdono di vista.

Poi è Ramie che chiede aiuto a Caleb e da li' il loro legame si intensifica sempre di piu' scoprendo che cio' che avevano provato nel loro primo incontro era qualcosa di piu'.

Ma non c'è tempo per pensarci, infatti un serial killer miete vittime ad una velocità terrificante e non si fermerà fino a che non avrà la bella Ramie. Ma Caleb farà di tutto perchè ora che l'ha trovata non se ne vada di nuovo.

Libro che mischia perfettamente passione, romanticismo ed azione come poche autrici sanno fare. Anche in questo caso Maya Banks non delude, regalandoci una storia da togliere il fiato.

Anche questa volta l'autrice non ha deluso le aspettative, regalandoci un romanzo ricco di suspance, brivido, passione e pericolo.

Ari è una ragazza con dei poteri incredibili, che pero' ha cercato per tutta la vita di nascondere, il suo passato nasconde dei misteri che nemmeno lei conosce e quando è costretta ad utilizzare una piccola parte del suo potere per salvarsi da un'aggressione, certo non puo' minimamente immaginare di essere travolta da una serie di avvenimenti che metteranno in pericolo lei e quella che fino a quel momento è stata la sua famiglia.

Beau Deveraux, fa del pericolo il suo pane quotidiano, lui sa gestire anche le situazioni piu' difficili, certo pero' non puo' immaginare che il suo sangue freddo possa essere messo a dura prova da una dolce ma determinata ragazza che bussa alla sua porta chiedendo aiuto.

Da subito lo sguardo di Ari scatena in lui passione e senso di protezione, sarebbe disposto a dare la sua vita pur di tenerla al sicuro e farebbe di tutto per lei, anche discutere con suo fratello, perchè ora è lei la sua priorità.

Storia d'amore che tiene il lettore incollato alle pagine del libro e regala molte emozioni.
